Wedding Pictures>Plates Mats Art

If you attended our wedding you might have noticed that there were several things on the tables: White plates mats, crayons markers and canvases. Venus and I enjoy art and believe it to be a life enriching. We wanted our guest to draw, scribble sketch, anything on the mediums provided. The following link has all of the plates mats that I found any writing/drawings on. I put the pictures of the plate's mats from our wedding. check them out here

Canvas coming soon...

Honeymoon!

We went camping at Gifford Pinchot Park for our honeymoon!
There were only a handful of other families there, but no where near us so we had a nice quiet space.
Our first day there I wanted to go canoeing desperately, but when we got to the shop a sign said they were only open on the weekends. Disappointed we walked back to the car, before we got there though the shop owner saw us and stopped us. He said he would open it up so we could go boating for a couple of hours. SWEET!

Later that night we caught up on our reading, with Pierre even reading to me when I got too tired (rad!)
When our tummies began to rumple we realized that neither one of us really knows how to make a decent fire. We ate steamed garden burgers, not as tasty as we were hoping.

When it got dark out we busted out our awesome headlights. I will admit when Pierre purchased them I mocked him, loudly. He was completely right, they were super rad! They even had a 'nightvision' setting!!!!!
The next morning we went to a local diner for breakfast...it was awkward with the local waitress making it clear we weren't a priority. We didn't linger after we finished eating.

We wondered around during the afternoon, really enjoying everything we were surrounded by.
Later we drove around ending up in Lancaster, and saw some awesome art. Realizing that without a decent fire we aren't really able to cook, we went to the Lancaster Brewing Co. and stocked up on a variety of beers we have never tried, then ended up at an awesome crab place.

By the way, those bug repellent candles SUCK. I was eaten alive and I will seek revenge on any mosquito that ever comes my way again....

We had an awesome time and were really able to enjoy each other. It was the perfect answer to a dreamlike perfect wedding ceremony. Pierre summed it up perfectly when he said, "Shame on us for not coming here sooner.", and when he said " We have been alone all week together and we still like each other, this is awesome." :) If our marriage is even half as awesome as the wedding and honeymoon were, we are in phenomenal shape.

why I am grumpy or even needlessly aggressive sometimes; this is where I spend 8 hours a day 5 days a week.

Be happy that I am as pleasant as I am.

Carnival Time

Pierre and I went to the Marysville Carnival! I wanted to ride all the rides 3 or 4 times each, so we bought unlimited pass bracelets for our night 'o fun. First ride; the Zipper.
As soon as we got in and felt the swaying of the cage my stomach dropped and out came a frantic laugh that I couldn't stop. I was officially freaking out. Pierre however managed to take pictures during the ride, and even stated that "This was a terrible idea" as my purse crashed around the cage and he irritatingly asked if I could grab that.
After the humiliation of realizing how old we really are and can't handle the zipper anymore, we went on the only ride that the sight of didn't make our stomachs drop; the good ol' Ferris Wheel. From the view from up high and the gentle swinging of the bench seats, the carnival looked like a crazed event that one only sees on TV but never actually participates. It became clear why we both felt completely out of our elements and slightly freaking out.

We then wandered about the carnival, being taken in by all the absurd games that surrounded us. I won't lie though, we did spend a dollar trying to win a stuffed pink flamingo-apparently it wasn't meant to be.

After being at an event that overwhelms your senses we were exhausted after only 2 hours and headed home for a night of jammies, missing the promised fireworks. Next year I think we will forgo the unlimited ride bracelets and the zipper...
